Practice Nurse required for Scarsdale Vets, Langley Mill, Notts.

The Role

As a business we take pride in providing outstanding pet healthcare and this role of veterinary nurse enables us to do this at a local level in the community. Due to increased workload, we are looking to recruit an additional nurse to join the team.

You will be involved in all theatre and imaging work, nurse clinics and general stock/maintenance/promotion of practice. We anticipate that your individual clinical knowledge will improve steadily. Our CPD allowance is generous and actively promoted.

Any OOH work will be covered by our hospital site at Pride Park and this is where your internal training is likely to be held, where we have the UK’s most innovative veterinary equipment.

This is a full-time role of 41.5 hours per week working between the opening hours of 8.30am at the earliest start to 7pm as the latest finish. There is also one Saturday morning in every 4 weeks.

There is no OOH, this is provided by our hospital on Pride Park, Derby.

About Us

We are one of the largest providers of veterinary care locally. Our principal site is on Pride Park, Derby, where we provide first opinion treatments plus referral services for own clients and other practices. We have our own dedicated night team.

Our Langley Mill practice was opened in March 2019 and is a well-equipped local practice that has quickly become embedded within the local community.

We are a friendly team consisting of 2 small animal vets, 2 qualified nurses and 4 client care advisors. You will work closely together each day to provide a welcoming and personal service to your loyal clients.

This practice holds the gold status as a rabbit friendly clinic, the only one in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The vet is an RCVS advanced practitioner in zoological medicine and subsequently Langley Mill treats many exotic species.
