Lead Veterinary Surgeon - Worthing, West Sussex

We are currently looking for 1 Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join our busy teams at East Sussex. They will be supporting a small team of Vets by providing leadership and guidance and also be helping developing their role. Besides being responsible for clinical governance, audits and managing the complaints process, the Lead Vet will also do consults and will monitor hospitalised patients. The position is full time, working 4 days Monday to Friday plus 1 in 2 Saturdays.

We are a 24/7 hospital founded in 1958 and now part of a larger group; IVC Evidensia. We have approximately 100 team members across 7 sites. Our specialist services include diagnostic imaging with on-site CT, orthopaedics, cardiology, soft tissue medicine and internal medicine. We also have an on-site laboratory, staff training room and a staff break room for that much needed cup of tea!

Applicant Requirements:

•    Excellent communication, listening and interpersonal skills

•    Effective problem solving and time management skills

•    Ability to remain calm, assertive and patient under pressure

•    UK small animal or mixed practice experience

•    Ability to travel to required locations

•    Demonstrate a flexible attitude to work and shift changes
