About the role
We take pride in providing outstanding pet healthcare and this role enables us to do this at a local level in the community. We empower our nurses to use their nursing skills fully to help us achieve the best outcomes for our patients and to help our nurses continually develop their skills.

You will be involved in all theatre and imaging work, nurse clinics and general stock/maintenance/promotion of practice. Any OOH work will be covered by our hospital site at Pride Park and this is where your internal training is likely to be held, with the UK’s most innovative veterinary equipment.

This role can adjust to fit your career. If you want to learn about managing the practice yourself, we can help you, or if you prefer to concentrate on developing your nursing skills, we can help with that too. How involved in the leadership and running of the team you are is up to you! You can develop at your own pace and in the direction you want. This is a full-time role of 41.5 hours per week working between the opening hours of 8.30am at the earliest start, to 7pm as the latest finish. Plus, Saturday mornings every other week.

We are also currently looking to recruit a Vet for the practice so this role may suit a Nurse and Vet team looking for a new practice to develop together without the financial outlay.

About Scarsdale Vets
Do you want to hold nurse clinics in a new, purpose-built building, and operate in a practice with all the latest equipment, plus have the freedom to decide on the direction of your career? If so, Scarsdale Vets can offer this at our Practice in Alfreton, Derbyshire. We are looking for a team to help us relaunch the practice and grow it to its full potential. Full training and support will always be available.
The practice was first opened in 2019 but due to the pandemic has been shut since March 2020. We are now looking for a brand-new team to relaunch this great offering to the local area.
This Practice will accommodate a Small Animal Vet and Practice Veterinary Nurse, and a team of three client care advisors, all working together. There will be the support of our Branch Practice Manager, and the wider Scarsdale team.
As one of the first to join the practice you will be involved in creating the team and shaping the service, alongside the new Vet. This is an opportunity that doesn’t happen often!
