Company

We offer all of the facilities that you come to expect in a high quality first-opinion veterinary practice, including vaccinations, microchipping, neutering, X-rays, full dental and surgical theatres, nurse clinics (often free of charge), as well as a well-equiped on-site laboratory.  In addition, we have several features of which we are very proud. These include a large, free car-park, enabling you to find a parking space whatever the time of your pet’s appointment, and a large surgery entrance, which serves as both a retail area and waiting room.

We are the UK’s largest stockist of Royal Canin Specialist Veterinary Diets (as of March 2010).  In addition to food, we also stock many other pet products, including collars, leads, harnesses, brushes, treats and chewies, wild bird products, cat litter, litter trays, and pheromone products for cats and dogs.  We also have a section dedicated to products for small furries and rodents.  We do not, however, sell pets!

Our waiting room is divided into dog and cat waiting areas, so that your feline friends have as stress-free a visit as possible.  Please help yourself to a hot beverage from our drinks machine whilst you wait!

Imaging facilities include x-ray and ultrasonography.  We are also one of the few practices in the area to possess a ‘Tonopen’, which is a device used to measure the internal pressure within an animal’s eye.  This is essential to rule out glaucoma (high pressure in the eye), which is a serious condition which can lead to blindness and the potential need for eye removal.

All of our vets are experienced, with many years of small animal medicine and surgery under their belts.  We aim for case continuity, so you will often see the same vet throughout your pet’s illness.  Our nurses are also highly qualified and experienced.  Everyone working at CVC is an animal lover – have a read of our Staff Profiles to find out more!  We are also able to offer specialist surgical and imaging procedures on site, with the assistance of visiting veterinary specialist in a rage of fields.

We are open 7 days a week, and use a dedicated emergency service overnight and when we are closed at the weekends (based in Macclesfield).  This ensures that your pet receives gold standard care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year!
