Registered Veterinary Nurse - Full Time - Newbury Vets4Pet

An exciting opportunity has arisen at our small animal training practice, Newbury London Road Vets4Pets, for an enthusiastic RVN to join our friendly and welcoming team.

Based on the busy London Road inside the Pets at Home store, we can offer a fantastic location to work with easy access to the A34 and local transport links as well as boasting some state of the art equipment and plenty of onsite parking.

We are a small, welcoming practice comprising 4 vets, a 5 colleague nursing team, 4 receptionists and 1 practice manager, looking for a friendly RVN to join us in our great practice.

By joining us you will have the opportunity to use your nursing skills to their full potential with responsibilities including administering drugs, anaesthetic and injections, preparing animals for surgery, holding & monitoring animals during operations, maintaining sterilising and laying out surgical equipment, cleaning up after surgery, diagnostic testing, preparing and sending off laboratory samples, taking x-rays, inpatient care, client care including giving advice and accurate reporting.

To apply you will be registered with the RCVS, have excellent general nursing skills and great attention to detail, a positive and enthusiastic outlook, and be kind and caring with a genuine interest in animal welfare.

We are advanced practitioners in soft tissue orthopaedics, offering a very wide and varied case load, with personal growth and development supported and actively encouraged.  We are a very close knit team and we are looking for a confident, reliable and highly competent nurse to join us in delivering exceptional standards of patient care and customer service.

This position is full time averaging 40 hours a week including a weekend rota of just 1 in 4 and no OOH.
