Holiday Cover Vet - No weekends, no OOH or on-call!

We are seeking a friendly, confident and outgoing vet with great client communication skills and a passion for excellent patient care to cover vet holidays in our region.

You will have more than 2 years' UK experience and be happy working both sole charge and in a team. You will be comfortable performing all routine surgical procedures (including bitch spays) unassisted.

You will work a 4 or 5 day week (we are flexible!) with no weekends, OOH, bank holiday or on call duties. You will be entitled to 5 weeks' of paid leave (pro-rata for a 4d week) and will also have the option to take an additional 2 weeks' unpaid leave.

You will have a CPD allowance of £1500 and 3 days CPD leave. We will provide you with a company vehicle, and will cover RCVS, VDS and BVA membership.

This is a 1 year, fixed-term contract. 

Branch:

This role will work in either our Watford 1 or Watford 2 regions. 

The Watford 1 Region comprises the following clinics: St Albans, Radlett, Hemel Hempstead Marlowes, Hemel Hempstead Risedale, Redbourn Priory, Harpenden, Great Denham and Flitwick. 

The Watford 2 Region comprises the following clinics: Pinner, Stanmore, Carpenders Park, Croxley Green, Langley, Denham, Ickenham and Wexham.

Both feeds into the Watford 24-Hour hospital and during your time with us you will cover holidays in any of these clinics.

We have fantastic clients and take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice including numerous Certificate holders.

Our clinics are well equipped for primary care, and our vets utilise the facilities at the Watford hospital to hospitalise inpatients, as well as perform laparoscopy, endoscopy, orthopaedic surgery, ultrasound and CT.
