Taylor Vets are looking for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly team in Glasgow as Clinical Director. This opportunity is ideal for candidates looking to take the next step in their career. The role provides a combination of management and clinical work with a great work life balance, no OOH or weekend work and generous holiday allowance. Developing the business and your own clinical work are equally important parts of the role, with the ability to pass on knowledge and direction to others.
Taylor Veterinary Practice is one of the oldest established small animal veterinary practices in the world. We have been caring for animals in the community, as part of the Cathkin Estate, Glasgow, for almost two hundred years. Our main Cathkin site is very well-equipped, and we have 2 additional branches in East Kilbride and Clarkston open for consultations only.
Our “TVP Family” currently consists of 3 Clinical Directors, Practice Manager, 14 Veterinary Surgeons, 8 Registered Veterinary Nurses, 6 Animal Care assistants, 4 Student Veterinary Nurses, 16 receptionists and 5 Practice Administrators.
We take huge pride in our team and consider that to be a vital part of what makes us a great practice. We are a caring group of individuals who genuinely pull together throughout the most difficult of circumstances and we have always enjoyed having a strong social aspect as well. We would love for someone with a similar mindset to come and join us and help drive the practice forward.
Applicants should have extensive experience in both a surgical and medical caseload with a desire to mentor others and lead by example. You should be motivated, enthusiastic, dedicated, have great communication skills and strive for clinical excellence. Ideally you should have experience of a management role in a veterinary practice, although leadership training is available. Commitment to the practice is important, and proven ability to work as part of a team.
