Job Details

The position is 43 hours per week (inclusive of 1.50 hours lieu time), 1 in 6 full weekends (lieu days following week) 1 or 2 bank holidays per year, combination of shift times including some twilight shifts. This is a challenging role at the heart of the hospital where we deliver high standards of nursing care to our patients. Caring for each patient individually in your allocated ward, you will administer medication, liaise with clinicians about their patients, take bloods and place IV catheters, manage feeding tubes, chest drains and urinary catheters as part of the day to day jobs.

Working in our intensive care unit, would involve providing blood transfusions, airway management and other lifesaving procedures. Extra training is encouraged for this area and ECC CPD helps to build knowledge and skills. We support each other throughout the day to nurse the patients to the highest standards. Salary range of £22,908 - £26,633 depending on experience.

Pride Veterinary Centre beautifully combines the benefits of a specialist led, multidisciplinary support infrastructure with the flexibility of being independently owned by members of the veterinary team.

We strive to deliver world class patient care and our fantastic facilities provide a superb care environment, including 13 consultation rooms, 7 hospital wards, 5 theatres, full advanced imaging suite, 3 ultrasound rooms, an endoscopy suite, hydrotherapy pool and treadmills and dedicated chemo & radio-iodine treatment rooms define the setting.

Inpatient care nurses care for both primary and referral patients from simple to complex cases. It is an extremely rewarding job as the nurses are able to use a wide range of skills including feeding tubes, chest drains and airway management.

The team is friendly, supportive and passionate about providing the highest standard of care to our in-patients.
