Branch:

Skeldale Veterinary Centre is a thriving practice set in North Yorkshire in the market town of Thirsk. Our practice consists of 4 consult rooms, large operating theatre, digital X-ray room, ultrasound, well-equipped prep area and a large waiting area with a dedicated reception team and night nurse team.

This is a busy branch with a large client base where no two days are like the other. The caseload varies from routine consultations to procedures, with emergency and critical care for our own clients as well as clients from surrounding practices. The branch is well equipped already but has recently undergone refurbishment to gain hospital status including construction of a cat ward, a cat friendly waiting area, and a large meeting room for internal CPD and client evenings. We have a large theatre, dedicated imaging suite, a large prep area, a separate dental/treatment area, four generously proportioned consult rooms and an excellently equipped in-house laboratory.

Relationships are what are important to us - both between our colleagues and to our clients and their pets. We are a historic practice with a rich heritage and we honour that by building strong relationships with each other and our clients, while pushing forward with new techniques and management of cases. We encourage growth in all our staff and opportunities for further education and study are available. The team is dynamic, overflowing with enthusiasm and drive which is contagious and makes everyone strive to achieve their best.

North Yorkshire is a beautiful area, with several world heritage sites on our doorstep, as well as national parks, areas of outstanding natural beauty, National Trust, and English Heritage properties. Yorkshire is perfect for adventure, but also for relaxation with an abundance of fine dining, as well as traditional pub grub nearby.
