Job Details

Are you an experienced vet that enjoys the challenges and rewards associated with leading a team? Perhaps you’ve not had much leadership experience but are ready for the next step in your career.

Either way, we have the perfect opportunity for you! Due to continued growth and expansion within the team, we are looking for a dedicated veterinary surgeon for a lead vet position at a tier 3 hospital in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The role will involve both clinical and people leadership and will suit someone with a medicine or imagine bias (thought this is not essential).

The position can either be based solely at the main 24/7 state of the art hospital, which is fully equipped with CT scanner, visiting MRI, 4 theatres, onsite lab, rigid/flexible endoscopy including laparoscopy, ICU plus lots more. Alternatively, it can be branch lead overseeing the day-to-day running of the branches, driving clinical standards and motivating the team. The working pattern can be flexible for the right candidate but generally vets have a 4-day week, 1-in-4 weekends and no out of hours responsibilities.

Full support will be given to anyone with little to no experience managing people, though some leadership experience would be advantageous. Regardless, you will be surrounded by a team of experienced vets, many of whom are certificate holders in various different areas and be supported in all areas by experienced and encouraging Clinical Directors and Lead Nurses.

To be considered for this position you will need to have 3-5 years experience in small animal work and either have or be working towards a certificate. In return, an industry leading package will be on offer, with a competitive salary of up to £70,000 depending on experience (plus a bonus scheme!), generous CPD, employee assistance through Bupa and much more.

If this sound like something you could be interested in, simply apply below or contact us for a confidential chat to find out more about the positions – our team are usually available until 8pm during the week.
