Job Details

We are a team who like to work collaboratively and support each other and are looking for two Veterinary Surgeons to join our team – we are flexible as to whether this be part or full time.

A standard working day starts at 8.30 and finishes at 18.30 and 1 in 6 Saturday mornings but no out of hours commitment just some inpatient covered during the week shared equally amongst the team. The majority of our team work four days a week with a fixed day off. However, if you have something else in mind, come and talk to us. Salary range £30,000 - £55,000 depending on experience. A Golden Hello is also on offer for the right candidate.

You will be working primarily at our main Holt branch with some cover at our Wells-next-to-sea branch. We are particularly looking for someone with an interest in surgery who maybe wants to start a surgery certificate or has just completed a surgery certificate and wants to grow this area of the practice. You may of course want a role that is varied with medical and surgical caseload, we can offer both. There is potential for advancement to a leadership role if desired. CPD is encouraged and well supported with an excellent CPD budget and additional staff benefits.

We are a forward thinking practice located in the Georgian town of Holt, on the beautiful North Norfolk coast. Glaven Vets has been part of the local community since the 1960’s, providing the highest standard of veterinary care for your pets, whilst offering a personal touch. We have great facilities as well as separate cat and dog waiting area and wards. Our team consists of 6 vets, 6 RVN's, 1 SVN and 2 ANA's as well as a team of 5 customer support staff.

You will have a Veterinary Degree registrable in the UK enabling full MRCVS status. Ideally you may have some experience, so someone who may have be looking to move from their first practice since graduating or someone who is looking to expand their experience of small animal practice to include leadership. Interest in developing surgical experience would be an advantage. You will be encouraged to develop your specific interests and we will support you every step of the way, including the study to certificate level.
