We are looking for an ACVS or ECVS orthopaedic surgeon to join our team. This would be a head of service position therefore you would be expected to train the next generation of veterinarians who are eager to learn, be part of the further development within orthopaedic surgery together with the team. We want to implement TPLO, and the candidate must be willing to train this. We have a large caseload taking cases (patients) every day from colleges in Denmark and various other sites. This really is a great opportunity for a keen surgeon who would like to strengthen our corporation.  As stated, it is however important that the specialist must be willing to work with young vets – some of which will be starting their GP cert SAS from October 2021. Knowledge sharing across Evidensia Denmark is also something we do - we would expect the specialist to offer some days of the year where they contribute to this, this is part of their "normal" work.

Karlslunde referral hospital is situated approximately 30 minutes from Copenhagen. The hospital is super modern with the latest diagnostic equipment including CT-scan, ultrasound,  X-ray, complete internal laboratory, blood bank, "scopey rack", a well-equipped dental room and we are also about to implement MRI.

We have 10 -12 vets (2 GPCertSAS), two just started on GPcertSAS, 8-9 qualified nurses within anaesthesia, critical care, 12 nurse students (working on a high level), 8 Vet students (working during evenings and weekends). We have a very good working climate - where we care for each other, we share our knowledge, and we ensure that everyone has a good working day. We are known at the Hospital for giving vets great opportunities to expand their knowledge. Everyone contributes to the nice working climate.

Must be eager to share his or her knowledge. Must be a nice a "humble" person who is easy so work with. Must be able to take action and responsibility. We have a chief vet who is working on the floor, and it is important that the candidate can work closely together with the team.

As a BAME and LGBT+ inclusive employer, we are keen to hear from candidates from all minority and diverse groups. As a Disability Confident Employer we are keen to hear from candidates with disabilities and long term health conditions, and would be happy to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed during the recruitment process.
