Senior Veterinary Surgeon required at Ashbank Vet Centre in Laurieston

The Role

Due to growth within our team, we have an exciting opportunity for a full time Senior Veterinary Surgeon to lead and mentor our 5-vet team based primarily out of our Laurieston Branch with flexibility to work across our Kilsyth and Bo’ness branches. The role involves daily consulting and operating, offering caseloads in areas such as orthopaedics, soft tissue surgery, medicine, ophthalmology, cardiology, ultrasound with the opportunity to specialise in any of these areas should you desire.

Rota

We can offer flexibility in the rota pattern and happy to discuss in more detail at interview stage, there is a 1:4 Saturday morning requirement, but no OOH or on call.

About Us

We are a 3-branch practice with 1 main centre at Lauriston and 2 branch surgeries based at Kilsyth & Bo’ness. We have great in-house Lab equipment and offer endoscopy, laparoscopy, soft tissue surgery and ortho surgery. There are 3 well equipped modern theatres including a dedicated dental theatre. Each vet has special interests, these are encouraged and gives us an in-house referral option for various disciplines. Located within the Central Belt with great access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow as well as the beautiful Highlands.

Applicant Requirements

Ideally looking for an experienced vet who feels competent in consultations, case work ups and general surgery, passionate in developing your own skills and mentoring your colleagues along the way. This would be an ideal first step into management for an aspiring vet with a keen interest in case discussions and client care. Must be MRCVS registered. 

We would also consider applications from vets looking to relocate and can offer a relocation package for the right candidate.
