Veterinary Surgeon - Belfast, County Antrim

We are seeking a friendly, enthusiastic and dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to deliver the highest standards of patient and client care. You will join a busy practice and will work alongside Diplomate and certificate holders in soft tissue, orthopaedic surgery, ophthalmology, small animal medicine and cardiology which will enable you to develop your clinical interest. Your role will be busy and varied. You will be involved in developing the 1st opinion offer at Earlswood Veterinary and will provide excellent ongoing care to our inpatients. You will also support our referral veterinary surgeons. The role may include some first opinion cover at our branch Hollygate Veterinary Clinic.

Earlswood Veterinary is a leading, RCVS accredited, general and referral hospital in Belfast. Our diagnostics and treatments are second to none and our clinical team is highly trained and experienced to ensure our patients receive the very best treatment. Our referral work encompasses the fields of orthopaedics, ophthalmology, internal medicine, neurology, cardiology, soft tissue surgery, rehabilitation and physiotherapy.

You will join a team of 8 Veterinary Surgeons supported by a nursing team of 22. Our facilities include three operating theatres, x-ray, on site 16 slice CT, visiting high field MRI, ultrasound, arthroscopy, fluoroscopy and endoscopy. Belfast is a vibrant and welcoming city set in a stunning landscape.

Ideally you will have some experience in small animal 1st opinion practice. You will be able to demonstrate experience of working as part of a team, have good communication skills and have the ability to work in a busy environment and multi-task.
