Job Details

We are looking for an enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our small, friendly team. You will be the sole RVN in the branch, working alongside 1 vet, 1 VCA and one Branch Manager. You will work Monday- Friday 40 hours per week, plus 1:3 Saturday mornings. There are no out of hours duties. Daily duties will include in-patient care, surgical patient care, lab work, nurse clinics and some reception work. You will also visit our nearby Yetminster branch a couple of times a week to assist the vet during a short block of consultations. Accommodation is available above the practice if required.

We are a 4 branch practice in Somerset, with 2 branches located in and near Yeovil, and 2 located in North Somerset. The Yeovil surgery has the beautiful countryside of Somerset, and the stunning beaches of the Dorset coast just a stones throw away. We have most mod cons for general practice- Idexx lab machines, ultrasound scanner, pulseox and blood pressure monitoring to name a few.

The Yeovil branch has a small and supportive team consisting of 2 part time vets, 1 RVN (advertised role), a Veterinary Care Assistant and a Branch Manager. We positively encourage a healthy work/life balance and career development.
