Small animal vacancy at a modern, well-established tier 3 hospital in Leeds.

Are you a small animal vet looking for an opportunity to join a progressive, well equipped tier 3 hospital and work alongside multiple certificate holders in a friendly and supportive environment?

If so, then this could be the role for you. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated vet with a minimum of two years' experience to join a forward-thinking practice with a heavy focus on personal development and clinical excellence.

The successful applicant will have access to state-of-the-art facilities including CT scanner, laparoscopic surgical kit, flexible and rigid endoscopes, full dental suit with X-ray, in house lab and much more. The site itself is bright modern and air-conditioned with 7 consult rooms, 3 large ops theatres, 2 separate dental suits, large waiting area, on-site pharmacy and separate cat, dog and rabbit wards.

You will work alongside an experienced team of veterinary surgeons, 12 of whom have, or are working towards a certificate in areas including surgery, medicine, imaging, cardiology and dermatology. Vets are supported by an team of both qualified and student nurses, fully trained receptionists and practice management staff.

The role itself boasts an excellent work life balance with a 3.5-day week, no out of hours or on call duties and 1-in-4 weekends. There is an excellent package on offer including a competitive salary, industry leading CPD funding and 6.6 weeks annual holiday.

Key Duties

  • Progressive and forward-thinking RCVS accredited tier 3 hospital
  • Multiple certificate holders in areas including surgery, medicine, imaging, cardiology and dermatology.
  • Bright and modern purpose-built facility with 7 air conditioned consult rooms, 3 large ops theatres, 2 separate dental suits, a separate cat, dog and rabbit ward and a large reception/waiting area.
  • Equipment includes a CT scanner, laparoscopic surgical kit, flexible and rigid endoscope, full dental suit with X-ray, in house lab and much more.
  • Full-time position is 3.5-day week with no OOH and 1-in-4 weekends.

Key Skills, Qualifications and Client Requirements

  • You must have the right to work in the UK
  • You must be registered with the RCVS to practice in the UK
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 2 years' experience in small animal work
  • Excellent ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues
  • A desire to provide the best outcome for your patients
