Fantastic Opportunity in expanding practice!
We are looking for a 5th vet to expand our current 4 vet team at Toll Barn Vets, North Walsham Norfolk!
We are a purpose built independent and family run small animal practice who also offer referral services for exotic pets, CT scanning, laser therapy, physiotherapy and Dermatology. We have a large case load of very varied and interesting medical and surgical cases so if you like a mix of medicine and surgery there would be plenty for you to enjoy. We like our vets to be happy and to excel in the areas they enjoy and so would also be able to accommodate a consulting only or consulting and imaging only role if preferred.
We are seeking a veterinary surgeon with a passion for patient and client care and a friendly approachable personality. We would ideally like a minimum of 2 years UK experience. Experience in exotics is beneficial but definitely not essential - our case load is approx 60% small animal 40% exotics.
Since opening in 2014 we have grown quickly and enjoy a loyal client base with a commitment to continue investing in the practice and our team to provide our patients with the best care possible and staff with the best work environment possible.
Our vets have a great support team including 10 RVNs. We are proudly independent and strive to offer fantastic patient and client care. We are accredited Gold Feline Friendly and Gold Rabbit Friendly and are proud to have won the Burgess Rabbit Practice of the Year award this year.
The practice has separate cat, dog and exotic pet waiting areas and wards, dedicated operating theatres and prep room, laser therapy unit, on site C.T. scanner, digital xray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, video endoscopy, tonometry, multiparameter units etc., and a Memory Garden. We have exciting additions to the practice planned for the future too!
You will have independence to work up and treat your own cases but also full support whenever needed. We are committed to continually investing in our team, equipment and facilities to ensure we always provide our patients with the best care possible and our staff with the opportunity to be the vets they always wanted to be. Certificates are fully supported, funded and encouraged.
We offer a very generous salary dependent on experience, 4 day week with a range of benefits including rotas to include 4 day weekends off work each month, would consider 2 or 3 days full-time with share of OOH rota. funded VDS, RCVS, CPD, BUPA healthcare, pension and additional benefits with length of employment.
We do provide out of hours care for our clients as this helps us to provide the highest standard of care for our patients but our on call is very quiet and receives additional remuneration.
For an informal confidential chat about this new opportunity please call and apply by clicking the apply button.
Company
Our friendly team is dedicated to providing high quality veterinary care for you and your pets in a supportive caring environment. We realise pets are members of the family and are committed to assisting you in making the best decisions for the health and well being of your companions.
Our small team means you will usually see the same vet allowing better continuity of care.
We believe your pets are as important to us as they are to you which is why we offer longer consultations and flexible appointment times with dedicated cat, dog and exotic waiting areas and wards.
Continued investment in state-of-the-art facilities and equipment allows rapid “in-house” diagnosis and treatment of most diseases affecting pets and exotic animals. We understand treating exotic pets can be challenging and are happy to support local practices with advice or referral consultations.
All our staff are committed to furthering their knowledge, regularly attending courses to keep abreast of the most recent treatments and techniques to help your pets.
Our purpose built surgery includes a dedicated meeting room where we regularly provide in house lectures on veterinary care of exotic pets to other vets and nurses and we are proud to host client education evenings allowing the opportunity to fully understand your pets' health.
