We are currently looking for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join our friendly team in Lichfield, Staffordshire. This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week over 3 days with one early finish (4:30pm) and one-half day (1pm). There will be approximately one weekday night every couple of weeks and one weekend per month: either a Saturday day and Saturday night with a day off in-lieu or a Saturday day, Sunday day and Sunday night with Monday and Tuesday off.
Your time will be split between working at our hospital and at a branch enabling a client base to be built at both locations and the continuity of your cases. Our rota is split to allow you to perform surgery and work up your cases each day of the week.
We are a passionate, ambitious, and tight knit team based at the cathedral city of Lichfield. Our team is made up of 14 veterinary surgeons who are all supported by an amazing team of experienced veterinary nurses. We all share ideas and help each other and have two certificate holders (ECC and Anaesthesia/Analgesia) along with multiple colleagues who have a special interest in soft tissue/orthopaedic surgery and diagnostic imaging. Our tier 3 hospital is supported by 3 local branches. We are close to Cannock Chase and easy driving distance to Birmingham.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-rounded veterinary surgeon who prides themselves on their bed side manner and their drive to provide the best care for their patients.
