Veterinary Surgeon - North-East of Scotland

Progressive Equine practice in the beautiful North-East of Scotland requires a new vet to expand our friendly team.

Ardene House Vet Practice is looking for an equine vet to join the team. Ideally, you will have a few years’ experience, though new graduates will be considered. This role can be part-time or full-time, with potentially a 1:8 OOH rota, and we are happy to discuss flexible working requests. 

The practice has a range of clientele, from pleasure riding to high level competition horses and we deal with a mixture of first opinion and second opinion work. We offer a CPD allowance, private pension, medical insurance, and includes VDS and RCVS fees.

The practice is located in its own grounds on the outskirts of Aberdeen. We have purpose-built facilities, including stabling, radiography/treatment room, lungeing areas and an operating theatre. We have up to date equipment, including an oroscope, digital x-ray, ultrasound, surgical laser, endoscope, gastroscope, arthroscopy and lameness locator. You will be part of a supportive 8-vet team, aided by dedicated equine nursing assistants and reception team.  

We would be equally keen to welcome someone who would like to do ambulatory work and potentially develop an area of interest, or someone who already has further qualifications in a specific field and is keen to develop the referral side of the practice.

Competitive salary dependent on applicant’s experience.
