Southend 1 region is made of eight clinics including Southend 24-Hour Hospital, Chelmsford, Danbury, Laindon, Wickford, Rayleigh and South Woodham Ferrers.

We are looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with at least one year of UK (or UK equivalent) experience to support our practices in this role.
Working hours, Salary and Benefits
This role works 7 days on followed by 14 days off, working on average 23.33 hours per week and includes some Saturdays. Hours 09:00-19:00. You will be working 17 weeks/year!
This role offers a competitive salary of up to £55,000 pro-rata, CPD allowance, RCVS, VDS and BVA membership fees paid.
We have free regional and area monthly CPD events plus you'll have access to our unique, industry leading Fuse learning and development platform, plus funding for certificates offered.
This role will support our practices in our Southend region and the rota will reflect the needs of the region e.g. you may be covering a couple of the practices for one week and this will be communicated accordingly.
Southend is the region's 24-Hour Hospital. It's a bright, spacious hospital, complete with digital x-ray, ultrasound, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, plus CT scanner. We also have a dedicated, on site, ultrasonographer/imaging vet.
The branch clinics are also well equipped with digital x-ray, ultrasound and ECG. Our unique hub and spoke model facilitates equipment and knowledge sharing across the area and so you are able to follow your own cases through to completion achieving gold standard care.
