About Us
Avenue vets is a medium sized veterinary hospital that has been thriving for over 30 years in the town of Dundalk. We recently became part of the IVC Evidensia group, which opened a wide range of opportunities for our employees to specialise and advance their skills. Here at avenue vets we always try to keep a positive energy within our team. We are like a small family that look out for each other and we always try to have fun at work. We love all aspects of veterinary medicine. Our head vet John has a keen interest in both soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery and we tend to get referred lots of interesting cases from all over the region. We work closely with the animal rescue charities in the area carrying out all their spays and castrates. We offer a great opportunity for a new or recent graduate to become very competent at all routine surgeries. We have a state of the art, purpose-built hospital that can be seen from the images on our website. We also have all the laboratory and surgical equipment to ensure a great standard of care for all our lovely patients. Unfortunately, our lovely vet Anna Is leaving us after 16 years as she has to move back to Poland for family reasons. Our other vet Maria is starting an internship in the University hospital in Dublin. This is why we need You!

About Dundalk
Dundalk is a rapidly growing town with a diverse cultural background. Being so close to Dublin we have seen a wide range of nationalities settle in our town in recent years.  There are lots of lovely restaurants, cafes, Pubs and nightclubs in Dundalk and the surrounding areas. There is a beautiful mountain range situated 15 minutes from the town with lots of Hiking trails and viewpoints. We are located right next to the beautiful Irish sea, providing many areas to go sea swimming or just simply take in the view.

A commitment to high standards and good client care is essential as well as an ability to work effectively as part of a team. We encourage our vets to work up all their cases to a high level.
