Veterinary Surgeon - Aberdeen

We are a small, busy, two branch, independent companion animal practice located in Aberdeen. We pride ourselves on being able to provide an excellent veterinary service for our clients at affordable prices and have for nearly 30 years developed a very loyal client base.

The North East of Scotland is a wonderful area to relocate to with easy access to the Highlands, coastal areas with fantastic beaches and inland areas of significant beauty.

Our practices are well equipped including in house laboratory equipment at both sites and a DX digital x-ray machine, ultrasound scanner and endoscope at our main branch in Dyce. We have an excellent, hard working, experienced and dedicated support team.

We are looking for a vet with confidence and experience in a wide range of surgical procedures to allow our senior surgeon to reduce hours. They should be competent in complex soft tissue as well routine surgery and dentistry. Applicants should also have the diagnostic skills and experience required to work autonomously and with confidence, ideally with a minimum of five years experience in a small animal practice.

They should be flexible in their approach and should be able to work happily within a small team environment.

You would be working primarily at our main practice in Dyce, which is situated close to the airport and main train line. The post would include Saturday morning working on a rota basis but no evening or weekend on-call.

Salary would be competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
