Small Animal Associate – Denny by Falkirk
We are determinedly independent practice, we focus on keeping our team happy, and we highly value everyone’s work life balance. We all enjoy our jobs and get home on time after a days work. We give vets ample time for workups between consults, capping our blocks of 15 minute appointments at 2 hours. We continue to invest in high spec equipment to push our diagnostic capabilities forward.
We are looking for an additional full-time experienced vet to join us. The practice is in a Central Scotland location with Ochils nearby, yet with easy access to Edinburgh and Glasgow. We have extremely low staff turnover and this post is reflective of our current waiting list of clients and desire to expand our vet team.
Vets and nurses work a four-day week, work/life balance is a priority. 1 in 5/6 on call. Salary would vary between £32k-£55k dependent on experience.
We have a very supportive vet and nurse team who are always available for case discussions and backup, with weekly vet meetings for case discussions.
We are proud to still provide an in house 24/7 emergency out of hours service for our clients, but calls are sensible at less than 1 per day and we offer vets a bonus of £50 for each out of hours consult that they see.
Thanks to our vet Sam for permission to use the photo he took of the Kelpies that we’ve used in our advert here, and printed on canvas to decorate the wall of our quiet (bereavement) room for clients to enjoy.

The successful applicant will become part of a longstanding supportive and communicative team. With regular team meetings and a forward-thinking attitude, this should be a good place to work for many years to come.
