A rare opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our fantastic team at Bishops Vets in Hatfield. We are a close team that prides ourselves on providing excellent nursing care to patients and clients. The role will include theatre duties, assisting with procedures, nurse consults, dispensary, and some administration and reception duties. We provide a good work life balance with a 40 hour week, Saturday mornings on a rota basis with time off in lieu and no on call. This is a full time position and applications from new graduates are welcomed. Part time applications will also be considered. We look forward to hearing from you!

We are a well-equipped practice with digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray, separate dog and cat wards and a dedicated nurse consulting room. Our team of part and full time staff is comprised of 3 vets, 3 RVNs and 1 SVN as well as 3 reception/administrative staff. We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire which has swift mainline train links to London and is conveniently placed for both the A1(M) and the M25.

We are looking for a qualified nurse, experience is a plus but new graduates are welcome to apply. We are a training practice and are used to providing a supportive work environment to allow newly qualified nurses to grow in confidence and ability. As we are part of IVC, we would also be keen for a new graduate nurse to join the IVC Nurse Academy which provides an excellent structured CPD programme.

We specialise in companion animals (dogs, cats, rabbits and small mammals) and also have substantial experience with exotics (such as parrots and reptiles). Staff members with special interests in dermatology (skin diseases) and exotic pets are available to provide advanced care in those fields.
