Job Description
We are looking for a forward thinking Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our great team at Swinton Vets4Pets!
You will be joining practice owner and veterinary surgeon, Keely Walker, and her friendly and supportive team of 3 vets (1 interested in medicine and 1 working towards surgical certificate) 2 RVNS and a team of SVN’s, CCA’s and a practice manager. Keely is a 2004 Edinburgh graduate, and is passionate about providing world class clinical care at the very heart of the community. She has a certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice and an interest in medicine, and encourages her team to also pursue their own interests with support in certificates and a generous CPD allowance.
This growing and progressive practice is RCVS Tier 2 accredited, purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment, including full in house lab, ultrasound, digital x-ray, blood pressure, anaesthetic monitoring equipment and more. Orthopaedic cases are offered in-house along with BOAS and other more specialist procedures and we also have a travelling cardiologist visit us. Located in a busy residential area, directly opposite a train and near to bus stations, there is a great variety of cases and flow of potential new clients with an increasing amount insured.
We are looking for an experienced or recently qualified Nurse who is passionate about their role; being sensitive to clients’ requirements and promoting a professional image at all times. Excellent customer service and patient care is extremely important to us, so we are looking for individuals who share our high standards and work ethos with effective communication skills and be enthusiastic about giving the best service to our clients.
This is a full time role, 40 hours per week over 4 days with 1 in 3 Saturdays (9am - 2pm). No OOH, no Sundays and no Bank Holidays, ensuring an excellent work/life balance!
