We are looking for an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the team as Head Veterinary Nurse at our beautiful practice in Selston.
The role will involve all aspects of nursing as well as the day-to-day running of the practice. This position provides you with the opportunity to develop nursing clinics and use your initiative to promote new ideas; more responsibilities will form part of this role with full support being provided by the branch team.
As a Head Veterinary Nurse, you will be responsible for a variety of nursing duties as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice.
All of our Head Nurses are provided with dedicated support with other duties, such as recruitment and Health and Safety. While there are still administration duties involved in your role, this support will allow you to spend more time managing your team and doing what you love, nursing!
This role is full time working 40 hours per week with 1 in 4 weekends at our Alfreton Hospital.

Skills and Experience
This role would be ideal for a Registered Veterinary Nurse wishing to step up into management for the first time.
You will need to be a Qualified Veterinary Nurse registered with the RCVS.
Our branch is a small but beautifully formed practice set in gorgeous rural countryside. Selston is a one vet practice that has recently been refurbished and is located less than 15 minutes away from our purpose built hosptial offering support from certificate holders.
Medivet Selston is located in the Nottinghamshire countryside 12 miles from the city centre. The beautiful Derbyshire Peak District is less than 50 minutes away giving access to fabulous walking and cycling routes.
