Job Details

If you are passionate about providing outstanding patient and client care, value working as part of a friendly and supportive team and are eager to learn and grow then we may just have the job for you! Our nurses have a full and varied day which would include running nurse clinics, providing inpatient care, lab work, radiography simple dentals and theatre cover. This is a full time position working 5 days per week plus 1 in 4 Saturdays. No OOH.

The practice is busy with a varied case load and we treat lots of interesting exotics. The practice is very well equipped with digital x-ray, endoscopy, ultrasound and full Idexx lab. We are in a great location on the riverside by the Thames Barrier with a lovely park opposite the practice and there are good transport links to surrounding areas.

Our clinical team consists of 2 Vets, one of whom is a very experienced exotics vet. 2 RVN's, 1 SVN and an ANA. We are supported by a Receptionist and a Practice Manager. We work as a great team, value input from everyone and encourage ongoing development.

An experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse would be ideal but we are happy to consider a newly qualified nurse or someone returning from a career break. What is more important to us is that you share our values and work ethic. A clinical coach qualification or the willingness to achieve this would be desirable. Ideally, you will have an interest in exotics and some experience nursing exotics cases. We would be happy to support learning in this field.

Company

Our veterinary clinic used to be the 'Lads of The Village' public house but was later renamed to 'Thames Barrier Arms', when the Flood Barrier was built in 1982. The building was built c.1880 and has been serving the community ever since.

We are located on a Green Chain Walk, providing a useful stopover point while out on a walk, if you want any advice or just to collect something for your pet.

The Clinic opened its doors to the public & their pets in November 1997 and we’ve been looking after our clients and their pets ever since. All of us here are dedicated to the care of dogs, cats, rabbits and a variety of exotic pets. Not only that, but we are a fully equipped veterinary surgery able to provide on-site intensive care and support.
