About Us
Ark Vets is a thriving, progressive South Yorkshire/Derbyshire (Sheffield) practice. We are fully kitted-out at both sites with all the usual toys plus laparoscopic surgical kit and CO2 laser. We treat both small animals and exotic species (first opinion and referrals) and we are lucky enough to have the Peak Park on our doorstep, a great place to walk, run, climb, cycle or just enjoy the outdoors.

We have a team of 9 vets, they are supported by 10 RVNs and our client care team. We support each other and divide the workload equally. Our clients are at the forefront of what we do and we encourage a bond built on mutual trust and respect. This extends into our team too, as we all need each other to function effectively. We believe that time off should be just that, time away from the job to rest and recharge. We seek to balance our responsibilities to our clients with our own work-life balance.

Applicant Requirements
We are looking for a GP RCVS registered veterinary surgeon, who wants to develop and build upon their skills, a strong interest in small animal medicine would be actively encouraged. If you have already decided on a clinical area you want to focus on, please let us know how we can help you, including study to certificate level (70% of our vets either hold a certificate or are studying for one). We enjoy a collaborative approach to cases, so you should be happy to take part in clinical case discussions. However, you must be capable of working independently too. Positive energy and exceptional communication skills are essential.

Company

We are your local, independent Veterinary practice, established more than 45 years. We have fully equipped surgeries in Dronfield and Killamarsh catering for all types of companion animals including exotic species.

We strongly believe that clients and patients value seeing familiar, friendly faces, and so whenever possible we will arrange for your pet to be seen by the same dedicated vet every visit to ensure continuity of care.

We are proud to have been awarded RCVS tier II status as a small animal general practice. Our aim is to provide the highest standard of care for all pets, and their owners, including you in the decision making process at all times.

We are one of the few remaining practices in Sheffield and Chesterfield providing our own out of hours service. This means that in the event of an emergency outside normal surgery hours you are guaranteed to be seen by one of our own vets, with access to your pet’s medical records at the regular practices.

“We treat your pets as if they were our own!”
