We are seeking a Veterinary Surgeon with experience to integrate within our friendly team. The role we have on offer can be full (4.5 days) or part time (3 days) plus 1:5 weekends, negotiable for the right candidate. We actively encourage further studies such as certificates and have the case load to support this.
On the clinical side of things, you'll be tasked with all aspects of first opinion consults and routine surgeries with a varied and interesting case load, with limited sole charge. We encourage in-house case work up with the support from visiting specialists when required, however we are also happy to refer cases when appropriate. Salary range £40,000 - £50,000 (FTE) depending on experience.
Birch Veterinary Centre is one of the largest small animal practices on The Wirral, with surgeries at Oxton, Moreton and Thingwall. We offer same-day care to sick pets, looking after animals as if they were our own, and provide 24 hour support to ensure that your pet is always looked after whilst they are in our care.
Birch is a very busy first opinion practice catering for all small animal cases. We have a very experienced team including both a Surgical Certificate and an Internal Medicine Certificate holder, and continuing CPD is supported within the practice. We have an energetic team working atmosphere where everybody's contribution is appreciated, and support is readily given.
Among the Vet team, we frequently discuss cases and treatment options in support of each other.
We’re looking for someone with well-developed communication skills and who is capable in case management, and confident in their diagnostic and surgical abilities.
