The Role

We are looking for a veterinary surgeon to join us! We are currently working a 4.5-day week with 1:5 Saturday/Sunday mornings. There are no OOH requirements and as a Vets Now host practice, our hospitalised patients are all well looked after. We enjoy a large very varied caseload, offering both medicine and surgery cases. Should you be relocating to the area, temporary accommodation can be made available whilst you settle in. There is potential within this position for future advancement to a clinical director position as part of our succession planning.

About Us

The Charlesworth Veterinary Surgery is a two-site small animal practice in Derbyshire. Our larger branch is in Clay Cross, supported by our second base in South Normanton. We are a team of 5 vets, 7 RVNs and 3 SVNs with a large support team. We are well equipped with all the usual kit, including digital x-ray, ultrasound and a full in-house lab, with the addition of a k-laser to support our chronic pain services. We are a supportive practice and encourage regular case discussions. Case continuity is also very important to us. Applicant Requirements

You will be an RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with competence in all routine medical and surgical procedures. Specific interests are welcomed and encouraged, so just let us know where your passions lie. Travel between branches is necessary, so you must have your own transport.
