New Graduate Small Animal Vacancy, Independent Hospital, Northumberland.

Our client in Northumberland have a vacancy for a small animal veterinary surgeon to join their team.  They are super flexible and are happy to recruit a new or recently graduated vet needing support up to certificate holders happy to share their knowledge and skills with Junior vets.  They can also work with part time vets.

The current team consists of 5 veterinary surgeons on the small animal side of the business so this role would involve very little day time sole charge.  So, this is a great practice for those developing vets.  

As a rural, independent practice, OOH's form part of the role.  These are on a 1/5 basis for both evenings and weekends.  The practice has 24 hour nurse cover so vets are only called in emergencies.  Evenings are described as usually quiet, often no calls.  Occasionally 2-3 calls.  Later starts are offered if vets are busy with call outs.  After a weekend on call, vets have the following Friday off work.

There is very occasional work in the branch practice, however this is only in rare circumstances.  The vast majority of this position takes place in the main hospital.
