We are seeking a full time motivated Veterinary Surgeon to join us in our Thorpe St Andrew practice in our Norwich region.

This role provides wonderful flexibility and will give you the opportunity to be involved in interesting caseloads with state-of-the-art technology; you will work  alongside an experienced and supportive team led by a Branch Partner, with full support from our developing 24 hour Hospital in Horsford.

The ideal candidate will have at least six months' UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and have a passion for delivering outstanding care to their patients, as well as a first-class service to their clients. We offer excellent long-term prospects for the right candidate, with advancement in skills and specialism actively encouraged.

We have an excellent support structure in place and we take pride in our collaborative approach; you will have the opportunity to call upon our experienced vets for advice whenever you need it.

This is a fantastic opportunity to broaden your experience working within a very successful branch and a specialist hospital team.

The role is working 4 days per week plus either 1 in 3 Saturdays or 1 in 6 Saturday & Sundays. Up to 3 weeks per year on call requirement plus a share of Bank Holidays at our Horsford Hospital. 

There are branch partnership possibilities in the area, and we would also consider part time or flexible working patterns.

Salary & Benefits:

Full time package up to £51,469 dependent on experience, to include:

- Competitive salary

Skills and experience:

You must be comfortable and confident with all routine procedures and have the ability to work-up cases with standard diagnostics - blood testing, x-rays and possibly basic ultrasound.

Medivet Thorpe St Andrew is a well-established, thriving three vet practice led by Branch Partner and Veterinary Surgeon Gerhard Retief. The branch has a loyal friendly client base and our experienced team sees a varied caseload. The practice has recently purchased a new ultrasound machine and are supported by our new 24-hour hospital in Horsford, who provide OOH cover and the ability to refer cases locally, whilst still maintaining involvement in the case.
