My client is looking for a Lead RVN to join their team. They are a first opinion veterinary practice who have earned themselves a swanky new hospital. They are having an amazing new hospital built for them within Guildford and they are looking for staff to fill it! The lead nurse they are looking for would be a pivotal part of transitioning to their new practice.
My client do orthopaedic surgeries and also treat exotic patients. This means they will have a radiography suite and an exotic ward built in the new building. All new and exciting and they are keen to find some nurses who are looking for their forever home.
Prior to moving to their new surgery, they do 08:00 – 17:00 or 10:30 – 19:30 shifts.
Once they move to the new hospital these working hours are unlikely to change.
It will be broken down into - inpatient/wards, Prep, anaesthesia, consults and pharmacy shifts. They are implementing a new nursing structure and are creating lead nurses. These are nurses passionate about a certain area of nursing and would have some line manager responsibilities. As a lead nurse you would be 95% clinical to allow 5% for admin that may come with that role.
