Small Animal Veterinary Surgeons (12-month internships)

Towcester Veterinary Centre is a mixed veterinary practice located over 4 sites within and around the historic town of Towcester, Northamptonshire. We are an RCVS accredited, independent practice, with a friendly team who are dedicated to delivering great service with a personal touch.

Our Small Animal practice has attained Tier Three status and includes a hospital plus 2 smaller sites - as part of your internship you will have the opportunity to work in all three areas and have exposure to both first opinion and referral cases. With two surgery certificate holders and one medicine certificate holder there is opportunity to work cases up to the highest degree. Laparoscopy and endoscopy kit as well as full ASIF/AO orthopaedic kit and an in-house lab support this.

We are offering a fully mentored positions to recently qualified Veterinary Surgeons, initially shadowing one of our two Small Animal Partners to master the art of consulting and managing cases, slowly building up your own caseload to manage more independently as your knowledge and confidence grows.

These will be a full-time positions for a 12-month period, including on call work with back up provided by the Partners. You will join a team which includes 6 other vets and a group of experienced nurses, all of whom will be committed to helping you succeed in your chosen career.
