Veterinary Surgeon - Tyne and Wear

My client is looking for a permanent veterinary surgeon to join their busy friendly practice in Tyne and Wear. They offer a supportive, encouraging work environment and pride themselves on top quality, modern medicine, and surgery.

Full time, 5 days a week MIXED animal vet with a split of 80% small, 15 equine and 5% farm.

The practice would consider a part time applicant but ideally at least 2 full days per week plus 1 full weekend on call in every 6 (for every full weekend, no night on calls the following

The successful candidate must do one night on call per week (with another vet)

1 full weekend on call in every 6 (for every full weekend, no night on calls the following week and a Friday or Monday off to make a long weekend)

1 Saturday morning in 3 (one of these will be part of the full weekend on call every 6)

Must have driving licence.

Bank holiday cover equally shared

The practice offers a very supportive working environment and lots of in-house CPD. They can provide accommodation if needed. Also 6 weeks holiday a year, BUPA cover, VDS cover, RCVS fees paid and the option for a company car.

The practice offers a wide range of services including vaccinations, flea and worm treatment, free puppy and kitten checks, dietary advice and weight clinics, dental clinics, elderly pet checks, behaviour clinics and pet passports.

Some of the diagnostic and surgical services available to their clients include fully equipped operating theatres at every branch, dental equipment, radiography, ultrasonography, endoscopy, ECG and in-house laboratories.
