We are looking for a full time Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team. The role is 5 days a week with weekends on a rota basis. No OOH. Our nurses split their time mainly between inpatient care and theatre work along with carrying out nurse clinics. Providing supportive care of animals and assisting the vet is another important part of the role along with educating owners on maintaining the health of their pet.
We are a well-established small animal practice in South Oxfordshire, surrounded by lovely countryside yet only 10 minutes from the city of Oxford and an easy commute to London. Our group is made up of four surgeries with the main surgery in Abingdon where our dedicated night service is located. Our day team consists of 7 vets, a mix of qualified and student nurses along with ANA's, reception and admin team. We have a separate night team.
We are a nurse training practice and encourage the nurse team to grow in areas of interest and to allow them to further develop their skills. A keen interest in nurse clinics would be a great advantage. In addition to your excellent clinical and communication skills, you will need to be a people oriented person who is willing to support your colleagues.
