Veterinary Surgeon (Maternity Cover) - Guisborough

We are looking for an experienced veterinary surgeon to join us for a 9-12 month fixed contract to cover maternity leave. Each of the vets shares a mixture of operating and consulting and we are a big enough team so people can develop their own interests but a small enough team to be close knit and be able to discuss plenty of cases. Full time and part time applications will be considered, we can be flexible with rota and shift patterns to suit the right candidate. Salary range of £35,000 - £50,000 (pro rata) depending on experience.

We are a busy, 6 vet small animal practice based in Guisborough, which is 10 minutes from both the North Yorkshire Moors and the sea. We have a mixture of urban and rural clients and we are located just a short walk from Guisborough town centre. Our team are friendly and welcoming and always try to make new members of staff feel at ease. We currently have 6 vets and 4 RVNs as well as support staff. 2 of the vets are currently studying for certificates and there is a wide of range of experience amongst the team. We are looking forward to a time when we can get back to teambuilding events and staff meals out post-Covid!

The ideal candidate needs to be enthusiastic and a team player as well as being willing to be involved in case discussions and guidance/mentoring of younger vets.
