We are currently looking for a veterinary surgeon to join our friendly team at Dragon Vets in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire. This is a full-time role working 39 hours per week over 4 days with 1 weekend in four (day shifts) and 3 days off following the weekend worked. There are no night shifts and no on call required for this role.
 
Our successful candidate will experience a varied caseload of insured clients allowing them to work-up cases to the highest standard. Time will be split between our main practice and our branches with opportunities to follow cases and use all our gadgets.
 
Located in the heart of Cheltenham, renowned for horse racing and a thriving bar/restaurant scene, Dragon Vets is the largest and most advanced practice in the area. We have invested in the latest equipment including CT, DR, rigid/flexible endoscopy, high-end Doppler ultrasonography (GE Vivid IQ) and well-equipped operating facilities to provide our clients with the best possible service.
 
We are lucky to have several RCVS-advanced practitioners in medicine, surgery, and cardiology, meaning that we can manage most cases in-house and provide great support for colleagues interested in improving their skills. With 14 Veterinary Surgeons and 20 Veterinary Nurses there is plenty of opportunities for discussion of interesting cases and socialising.
 
Candidates must be committed to providing clinical excellence and happy with some periods of sole charge. You will be happy with the investigation/management of common medical presentations and basic surgical procedures.
