We are seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet Dalston, East London. 

This lovely practice requires a confident HRVN with strong leadership abilities to lead a team of two SVN's and support with a high volume of procedures. The ideal candidate will have the drive to manage the admin side of the practice too!

Salary and hours: 

This role offers a salary of £29,573 - £34,615 per annum, depending on experience (includes £2000 London weighting allowance) plus £300 CPD allowance with 2-days CPD leave and in-house CPD available, RCVS and VDS fees, 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays.

Hours are 40 per week - 1:4 weekends and a fair share of bank holiday cover with time off in lieu and minimal on call duties over the year, approx. 3 weeks to support our dedicated night team if required, enabling the development of your ECC skills and experience.

Key accountabilities:

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing and leading the entire nursing team.  

You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.  

Skills and experience:

As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively.

Branch:

Medivet Dalston performs a high volume of procedures and is equipped with full in house lab, ethylene oxide sterilisation and digital x-ray. The branch is set up over three floors with separate cat ward and theatre. We also support the 'Fear Free' concept so that our patients grow to love us, not fear us. 

The successful candidate will be joining a great team made up of 1.5 Vets and 2 Student Nurses.

Dalston is a highly sought after and trendy area of East London. The clinic is situated on Dalston Lane surrounded by cafés, bars restaurant and the lovely Dalston Gardens just a 2 minute walk away.

The branch is a 5 minute walk from both Dalston Junction and Dalston Kingsland station - there are also several nearby bus routes and use of a car park at the rear of the practice.

We also have accommodation available if required in Kentish Town, which is approx. 15 minutes via the overground.
