The role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Veterinary Surgeon to work in our Dearne Valley region.

Our mobile role provides wonderful flexibility and will give you the opportunity to be involved in interesting caseloads with state-of-the-art technology, the main branch has been fully refurbished with lots of medical equipment installed which includes a CT scanner and an ultrasound. You will work a mix of sole charge and in multi-vet practices alongside other experienced vets and certificate holders.

We have a brand new ambulance for our Dearne Valley region, helping transport patients to and from practices.

Joining our professional and personable teams, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always. As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team.

- Salary up to £55,000 depending on experience, which includes:

- Housing Allowance of £5,400

- Vehicle or vehicle allowance £2,500

- 5 weeks holiday + Bank Holidays

This is a full time role working 4 days per week plus 1:4 weekends

Branch:

Dearne Valley is a 24 hour purpose built facility and is our main hub for the region. It has up to date digital x-ray, ultrasound and full body CT scanner and an in house laboratory. The practice has 3 large consulting rooms, 2 theatres, large prep area, internal lab facilities and large learning and office spaces.

Wath is a large branch practice which is equipped with the latest technology, including ECG, In-house lab, 2 ultrasound machines, digital and dental x-ray, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, blood pressure machine and a fully equipped theatre. The practice comprises 5 consult rooms, two theatres, separate cat and dog ward, prep area, x-ray room and a dental room. With a large staff room above the practice and a lovely furnished flat.

South Elmsall is a smaller branch practice which comprises 3 consult rooms, 1 surgical theatre, digital X-ray, ultrasound and in-house lab equipment with up to date analysers and external lab support and services. South Elmsall is a very busy practice with a large client base. We run daily nurse clinics and monthly incentives to promote client engagement.

Pontefract comprises 3 consult rooms, two theatres, large reception waiting room, Pharmacy, Xray room, dental room and a separate cat and dog ward. We have the latest technology, including digital x-ray machine, ultrasound, ECG, extensive orthopaedic equipment, inhouse lab including haematology and biochemistry analyses. Pontefract also has a furnished flat that is separate from the practice but onsite. There is a dedicated carpark for clients.
