The role:

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

We are looking for a driven Lead Veterinary Surgeon that will drive high clinical standards. There is a large scope to generate a dedicated client base. All experience levels will be considered. Wath is a large multi vet practice, this is a full time role working 4 days per week with 1:4 weekends. 

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will play a key role in leading and managing the team. You will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice client base, ensuring high standards of care are always delivered.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery. Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively and empathetically, such as good communication skills, mediation experience, and the ability to share knowledge and lead by being an outstanding, positive example to others.

Salary & Benefits

Salary up to £65,000 dependent on experience

Accommodation allowance £5,400

Vehicle or vehicle allowance £2,500

CPD £1,500 plus 3 days CPD leave

RCVS, BVA and VDS fees paid

5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

This role is full time working 4 days per week with 1:4 full weekends. 

Branch Partnership opportunities within this practice are also available where you can own part of the clinic, have complete clinical freedom whilst receiving full support from the wider Medivet network.

Branch:

Medivet Wath is a large practice and is equipped with the latest technology, including ECG, In-house lab, ultrasound, orthopaedic and operating theatre. As well as our in-house services at Medivet Wath, you’ll also get access to all the services available across the entire Medivet group.

The practice is located on Doncaster road just off the A633. The practice is easily accessible with Mexborough, Swinton interchange train station walking distance from the practice and they have onsite parking.

South Yorkshire is the gateway to the beautiful peak district. Once an industrial heartland, the region has been transformed and boasts excellent facilities for music, sport, culture and outdoor activities.

The city of Leeds is also rich in industrial heritage. Although it is a city well known for history and architecture, it is also a stone throw away from the Yorkshire countryside, where you can explore the Yorkshire dales or visit several stately homes and gardens.
