Job Details

We are looking for a full time RCVS veterinary surgeon to join our busy clinic. Your week will be a mixture of consulting, operating and dealing with hospital cases, with some time spent each week at the smaller branch clinics. We have 3 vets operating each day with a busy and very varied caseload. The role is 5 days per week (shifts of 8-5, 9-6 or 10.30-7.30) with approximately 3 nights on call per month, 3-4 weekends on call per year and 3-4 inpatient weekends.

Crown Vets is a long established practice in the beautiful, historic heart of the Highlands, offering a high level of first opinion care, complemented by a Referrals service offering care to the whole Highland area. We are a busy, first opinion clinic, with 14 vets and 14 RVN`s. We have excellent facilities and equipment and are always looking to improve on our existing service and capabilities. We currently have three practices in Inverness, two of which offer surgery and all offer Vet consults.

We have an orthopaedic/soft tissue surgeon with a busy caseload in referrals and a busy medicine certificate holder. We encourage learning and currently have 2 vets studying for certificates.
Pandemic aside, we have a very social team and try to organise team building events whenever possible. We have raised lots of money for local charities over the last few years, and managed to purchase animal oxygen masks for fire stations and defibrillators for all our surgeries.

We have a friendly and enthusiastic team who provide high quality, first opinion care to a dedicated client base that is continuing to grow. Our new vet must be a good team player, but also have the ability and drive to develop their own individual skills.
