We are seeking a confident Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our fantastic nursing team at Medivet Kensington.

You will be in a friendly, supportive environment within a rewarding role, involved in all aspects of nursing as well as sharing best practice with your team and helping to support and develop the student nurses in your practice.

Salary and hours: 

This is a full time position, 40 hours per week - 1:6 weekends and a fair share of bank holiday cover with time off in lieu and minimal on call duties over the year - enabling the development of your ECC skills and experience.

Salary is £24,288 - £28,295 per annum depending on experience (includes £2000 London weighting allowance) plus £300 CPD allowance with 2-days CPD leave and in-house training available. RCVS and BVNA membership. 25-days annual leave plus bank holidays.

Key accountabilities:

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice optimising the client and patient experience, promoting safety while training, developing and leading the entire nursing team.

You’ll also be proactive in maintaining your own professional and clinical skills, carry out accurate and timely reporting and explore ways that we can further develop our standards.

Skills and experience:

As a RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse, you’ll already have good knowledge of how a dynamic, practice runs efficiently and effectively.

Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you’ll also take the initiative in patient welfare and have caring, thoughtful communication skills.

Just as important are the leadership skills essential to enabling your team to work as one and look ahead to see how they can be even better.

Branch:

Medivet Kensington is a lovey light, spacious and purpose built hospital in Central London. 

The clinic is excellently equipped with digital x-ray, laparoscopic stack system, dental x-ray full in-house lab, ultrasound, separate dog and cat wards, isolation and two operating theatres - we also have a staff area and kitchenette for break times. 

Our friendly, experienced day team is made up three Vets, three RVN's, two SVN's, PCA and reception team. We also have a dedicated night team to manage all out of hour care for both the hospital's inpatients and 12 surrounding clinics within the region. 

The clinic is located close to Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park, plenty of nice cafes and a 5 minute walk from Gloucester Road tube station and multiple nearby bus routes.
