Registered Veterinary Nurse

We are looking for an RVN to join our team of 10 nurses at our busy Veterinary Hospital in Windsor.  We are proud to continue to be privately owned with a focus on client care and clinical excellence.

Our nurses work closely with our team of 6 vets and our enthusiastic and experienced support staff and receptionists.  We can offer a varied role where our nurses are valued and encouraged.

We have spacious, well-equipped and air-conditioned premises providing a great working environment.

The working pattern

The rota will include the following shifts across a week and include one hour for lunch unless otherwise specified:

• Dispense – 8.15am to 6pm (1.5 hours lunch)
• Theatre – 8am to 5pm
• Kennels – 9.30am to 6.30pm
• Recovery – 7.30am to 4.30pm
• Night Duty – 4pm to 10am
• Weekend – 8am to 8am (one in three weeks)

After 9pm weekdays and 5pm weekends we move to our OOH partner and our nurse is only responsible for in-patient cases during the night.  A duty room is provided and the nurse can go to bed but may be required to give medication or attend to cases during the night.

When working a Saturday, the nurse will work the following Wednesday night duty, finish at 10am Thursday morning and also have Friday off.

When working a Sunday, the nurse will be off at 8am Monday morning, work as usual Tuesday and Wednesday, work the Thursday night duty and finish at 10am Friday morning.

Nurses are fully supported by senior staff out of hours.
