Veterinary Surgeon - Stockport, Cheshire

The Role
We are currently looking for two veterinary surgeons to join our friendly team at Hunt's Veterinary Clinics in Stockport, Cheshire. We have full time permanent and full time 6-month fixed contract positions available working 39 hours a week over 4 days. Shift times are 8.30am-6pm or 9am-6.30pm with a maximum of 2 in 5 Saturdays 8.30am-4pm. There are no Sundays, no out of hours to cover and no bank holiday requirements. The salary for this role is between £30k-£40k dependent on candidate’s previous experience.

We are a 3-branch practice with our main branch in Poynton, Cheshire and our two other branches at Cheadle Hulme and Woodley. We have a varied caseload which includes routine, preventative, and some emergency and critical care. We are predominantly first opinion but encourage our veterinary surgeons to follow up on their areas of interest and expertise. We take pride in providing excellent inpatient and client care and case continuity is important to us as it builds a great rapport with our wonderful clients.

About Us
Hunt’s Veterinary Clinics first opened its doors in 1966 & although we were originally a mixed practice, we converted our clinics to cover small animal only in November 1997 and we have been caring for small animals ever since. We are an RCVS accredited small animal practice with three branches: Poynton (main branch- currently acting as our diagnostic and surgical hub), Woodley and Cheadle Hulme. Each site is furnished to a high specification so that our high standards of care are uniform across all three sites. We are lucky to be based in a fantastic location! All three of our sites are just a short distance from the centre of Manchester for those of you that like the hustle and bustle of the City, but also just a short journey out to the beautiful Peak District National Park. Geographically, a perfect location to lay down roots! We have a fantastic working environment which is credit to our wonderful, friendly team, which is made up of 6 veterinary surgeons, 3 registered veterinary nurses, 1 student veterinary nurse, 2 receptionists, 1 veterinary care assistant and 3 support staff.

Applicant Requirements
We are seeking veterinary surgeons with the experience to integrate within our team. We are looking for applicants with well-developed communication skills and strong time management, who are capable in case management, and confident in their diagnostic and surgical abilities.
