Due to expansion, we are seeking an Assistant Veterinary Surgeon to join our fantastic surgery in Temple Fortune, North London. 

Joining our national network of veterinary surgeons at Medivet, offers exceptional opportunities for career development while enjoying a very competitive salary package.

A £300 CPD allowance with 3-days CPD leave is also designed to drive your progress, balanced by a 4-day week and 5 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays. 

We can also support Certificates of Sponsorship for a Tier 2 (General) Visa if you meet the criteria and are eligible to register as a veterinary surgeon with the RCVS upon arrival in the UK.

Key accountabilities:

Joining our professional, personable team in the practice, you’ll deliver exceptional care by going beyond consulting to listen and empathising, putting patients and clients first, always.

As well as your day to day duties within practice caring for your patients and clients, you will play a key role in leading and managing the team. You will have the drive and ambition to develop the practice client base, ensuring high standards of care are always delivered.

Skills and experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years’ UK small animal practice (or UK equivalent) experience and be confident in their recommendations.

As qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice. You’ll be competent in clinical examination and surgery and confident working sole charge or as part of the wider team.

Sharing our values being trustworthy, caring and progressive, you will have all the softer skills essential to working effectively and empathetically, such as good communication skills, mediation experience, and the ability to share knowledge and lead by being an outstanding, positive example to others.


Temple Fortune is a well-equipped practice including both digital x-ray and dental x-ray, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser and more. All out-of-hour care is managed by a local Medivet hospital Hendon 24, where you will also have access to CT and MRI.

You will be working alongside Justine who is a very experienced, phenomenal vet and general practitioner certificate holder in Feline Practice.
