Veterinary Surgeon - Ballymena, Antrim

The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join our team here at Fenaghy Vets. There is a large and varied case load of both medical and surgical small animal cases covering our clinics in Ballymena and Antrim. Duties are split between consulting, operating, work ups, inpatient care and out of hours duties. Guidance and support will also need to be provided to our Veterinary Nurses and the larger team. CPD and Postgraduate studies in all areas are encouraged and supported.

• 1 night on call per week until 10pm (vets now takes over)
• 1 in 6 weekends working a Saturday (9:00am-5:00pm, Sunday 9:00am-12:00noon)
• Bank holiday cover on a rota
• 1 weekday off (which stays the same every week)

About Us
We have a highly variable and exciting caseload of medical, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. We have excellent facilities including digital x-ray, ultrasound and in-house laboratory and a focus on clinical excellence and client care.

We are a busy small animal clinic with an experienced and friendly team of 8 Vets, 9 Nurses, 7 Support Staff alongside our visiting specialist Ophthalmologist.

Applicant Requirements
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with experience to join our team. You will be confident in performing routine surgery and skilled at communicating with clients and colleagues alike.
