Here, you won’t just be part of the team, you’ll be part of our nationwide family. We’ve built a network of 330 practices with 20 state-of-the-art 24-hour centres that are all home to a family of professionals who provide a high standard of care. You won’t just help to deliver care, you’ll deliver exceptional care for your patients and clients. And you’ll do it all supported by your colleagues and some of the best training and development in the industry.

Join us where we’re building better every day.

The role:

Love the pace and adrenalin of emergency work? Working towards a certificate in ECC? Join our passionate, dynamic and caring team at the Medivet Watford 24-hr Hospital.

This busy hospital boasts fully equipped theatres, blood analysis machines, digital radiography, ultrasound, endoscopy, CT and more! Our 5-vet day team has certificate holders in Medicine, Imaging and Surgery. Together with our 12 nurses and care assistants we provide diagnostic workups and management of complex medical and surgical cases to our 16 satellite clinics and beyond.

As a night vet you will provide emergent care for patients presenting after hours, as well as ongoing medical care to our hospitalised patients. You will be supported by a dedicated team including a Registered Veterinary Nurse and Patient Care Assistant.

Salary and hours:

We encourage growth and development within your role and are truly committed to help our Medivet family members achieve their goals!

This role works to a 7-on, 21-off rota (Monday - Sunday, 19:00-09:00) and attracts a very generous remuneration package (depending on experience) plus RCVS, VDS and BVA membership.

Skills and experience:

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in small animal practice, confident and experienced in working sole-charge and dealing with emergent medical and surgical cases.

Candidates holding or working towards a Certificate in ECC are preferred but such qualifications are not a requirement. We are dedicated to clinical development and will provide support and a generous CPD allowance to assist the successful candidate in working towards an ECC qualification if desired.

You must have a full UK driver's licence.
