Job Details

We are hoping an experienced Veterinary Surgeon would like to join our fabulous team? Is this you?

Full-time position with no on-call rota. Part-time applications will also be considered and we can be flexible around days/hours. Starting at 8:30am you will have time to catch up on calls and/or emails and also a catch up with colleagues to discuss any cases that you need to share with others or seek further advice on, you then either do a morning of consultations or surgical/medical work. Following a morning's work you get time for lunch and to finish any outstanding work. The afternoon consists of consultations until 6:15pm and finishing for the day at 6:30pm. Saturday mornings start at 8:30am and finish at 1pm - Consulting only between 9am and 12 midday.

This position will be based at our purpose-built surgery boasting great facilities with modern equipment such as ultrasonography radiography and inpatient monitoring equipment, on the outskirts of Bath. We have a small close-knit team who work at both branches of Natures Vet to allow continuity for clients and their pets. The right candidate would be encouraged to develop their skills knowledge and understanding. Relocation package available.

We are surrounded by beautiful open countryside but also a short distance from the cities of Bath Bristol and Wells so you can enjoy a bit of both worlds. Cheddar Gorge is close by so if you are looking for adventure and want to give rock climbing a go that is the place to be! Alternatively a delicious and highly recommended fish restaurant for a quiet and very delicious meal in the lovely village of Chew Magna is a must.

We have a team of four vets and four nurses who work a combination of full and part time hours. We have one vet who has a certificate in imaging and a nurse who has a nutrition certificate. We have an open door policy so if you need any help or advice or simply want a chat there is always someone around to help or listen.

This role would suit a confident, self-motivated individual. You will be confident working on your own but also within a team environment able to take direction from others but also happy to make decisions where needed. We are happy to employ an individual who is returning to work following a career break and able to offer this support.

Company

Natures Vet's community surgery guarantees a warm and friendly welcome from local vets, ready to offer a comprehensive range of traditional, high-quality veterinary services at affordable prices.

Our surgeries in Paulton and Radstock possess a full range of surgical and diagnostic facilities. As well as conventional care, Natures Vet also offers acupuncture for pets. Our practice policy, or mission, is to provide lifelong support and care to pets and their owners, who naturally want the very best care for their pets.

Looking after a pet is one of the most responsible tasks that a family can set itself, and for this reason we encourage the whole family to be involved. Children are most welcome to attend consultations with their parents, and develop their understanding of how to care for their pets in the best and most responsible way.
