Registered Veterinary Nurse required at Kingston Vets, Hull

The Role
We are looking to recruit a permanent Registered Veterinary Nurse. The role will include nursing clinics, monitoring anaesthesia and peri-operative care of patients, assisting vets, reception work as required and maintaining the hygiene and smooth running of the practice. The successful candidate may be asked to work at any one of our six sites.

• Salary up to £25000
• 4 days per week (Monday-Saturday)
• 10-hour days
• 1 in 4 Saturdays (minimum) with day off in lieu given back during the week
• No OOHs
• No Sunday or Bank Holiday cover
 
About Us
Kingston Vet Group is one of the fastest growing practices in East Yorkshire with a very busy but varied caseload. The group have five well-equipped branch surgeries which are supported by a fantastic Tier 3 Hospital, with complete diagnostic suite including CT and MRI. We have a dedicated dentistry team based at our Beverley road site who carry out staged procedures and x-rays to enable us to provide a dental service of the highest standard. Kingston Vets have invested heavily in staff training and their facilities to ensure they are offering the highest standards of care. The Park street hospital has been recently extended to create additional theatre space, enabling advanced techniques to be offered, such as keyhole surgeries and fracture repairs. The group offer a variety of referral services. The group have a fantastic and hardworking team of 19 committed Vet surgeons, 22 dedicated RVN's and a friendly, enthusiastic, support team. Our branch surgeries are all sited strategically from the Park street hospital where we can provide a high level of hospitalisation facilities. Each branch has an experienced branch head nurse and motivated team of Vets, nurses and receptionists. We aim to offer consistency and high standards of client care to ensure that we can offer a high-quality service. Staff welfare and job satisfaction is prioritised at Kingston Vet Group. Fifteen-minute consultations and no out of hours work means that our vets can concentrate on providing the best care and advice to all routine and emergency patients. Vets Now Emergency work out of our Park Street site meaning that there is no need to transfer hospitalised patients between sites. This is a really fantastic place to work where no two days are the same!

Our large team of friendly vets, nurses and support staff are encouraged in their continuous professional development. The wellbeing of our team is prioritised with wellbeing champions at each of our sites and regular department meetings. The practice encourages animal welfare in the community by regularly participating in school visits, college visits and community open days.
 
Applicant Requirements
We are only able to take applications from Registered Veterinary Nurses; previous small animal nursing experience is preferred but not essential as training can be given. Great client communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team are essential attributes of the successful candidate. An interest in nursing clinics is also desirable.
